SEC shaft horsepower meter / SEC shaft thrust load meter |
A shaft horsepower meter is an instrument designed to measure the horsepower delivered from the engine to the propeller on a vessel by measuring the torsion of the rotating shaft. |

Provides high-accuracy measurement using a just 70mm-long span of the shaft.
There is little shaft torsion in a 70mm-long span. Nonetheless, the SEC shaft horsepower meter ensures highly accurate detection with a high-sensitivity displacement sensor that has a minimum resolution of 0.07 microns. |

Is compatible with any type of shaft with a diameter ranging from 50 mm to 1200 mm so long as the shaft is 200 mm long or more. The minimum diameter type of meter can be installed on a shaft 120 mm or longer. |

Handles shaft revolutions of up to 2200 rpm (for minimum shaft diameter). |

Is compatible with seven types of display units, as shown below. The meter is capable of not only measuring shaft horsepower, shaft revolution, and shaft torque, but also serving as a ship performance monitor through input of information such as the fuel oil flow and ship speed. |

Can provide torsional oscillation monitoring with easy modification. Signals from the high-sensitivity displacement sensor are processed at high speed to provide instantaneous shaft torsion information. Peak vibrating stress is constantly on display. |

Easily interfaces with our engine combustion pressure monitor, sharing the display with the monitor and saving a lot of system space. |

Uses a high-sensitivity sensor with a minimum resolution of 0.04 microns to detect minute compression strains on the shaft. The meter measures shaft thrust load extremely accurately by correcting shaft torsion based on torque data obtained from the SEC shaft horsepower meter. |

Easy zero point check |
The zero point can be obtained automatically as the turning device rotates
the shaft ahead and astern through 360 degrees. |
